RecommendedWe traveled to Heber for a week long vacation from Texas, and 3 out of those 7 nights were spent at the back 40 eating dinner ( 2 nights back to back) . The food is excellent, the staff was wonderful, and the portions were generous. I would highly recommend this to anyone in the area, and we will definitely travel back to Heber just to eat at the back 40.

Every time we come to our cabin in TimberLakes we treat ourselves to a meal at the Back 40. Tonight I had the halibut which was delicious and the sweet potato hash it was served on had a depth of flavor that was a little bit of heaven. My husband had the fried chicken, you can never go wrong with that. We also shared a wedge salad which they so nicely split between two plates. Delicious!

Our dining exsperience was so well worth it, staff was super friendly, our waitress was beyond our expectations...food was very delicious and locally grown and very tasty, when we drive through heber, were sure to stop in again....well worth the money spent....

This food was SO good! Fresh, local, comfort food served in creative combinations. We are foodies and would definitely go back. We had the flat iron steak and buttermilk fried chicken. For dessert, this amazing peach cobbler that was unlike anything I've had before and the brownie. I had a berry drink. Everything was beautifully plated and DELICIOUS!
