My first visit, haden't the slightest Mario V from the chew was one of the owners. The atmosphere was dimly lit, which I loved as I was on a date night. We ordered (3) appetizers, mussels and grilled octopus were my favs. I chose the black pasta with rock shrimp entree and it was divine. My boyfriend Italian born and raised ordered spaghetti with clams sauce and he loved it. Bon apetito.

The short of it is that my five year old, who accompanied us to Babbo, now asks if her pasta will be "as good as Babbo's". Twenty-four hours later and we have now disappointed her two out of two times. "Daddy, it's not as good as Babbo's". Where do you go from here when you are five? Parenting 101. Great food. Impeccable service. Perfect ambiance. And the pasta...well you can just ask my daughter...
One of the best meals I have had in NYC, the mussels were amazing!
