I've lived in NWA for almost 5 years. I'm from Dallas and had acrylic nails for 20 years. I'm picky picky picky about, well lets face it, I'm picky about Everything! I have an eye for detail, and I am clear about what I want. Na is my nail technician. Na takes the time to do my nails the way I want them done. I now do the dipping powder, but when I decided to take the acrylic off my nails for good I was going to another nail salon at the time. My nails were so weak and damaged. REVIEW BY KIM CARTER, PART 1: I first went to BSTAR on 8/24 & Dan the owner was my nail tech (I booked online for a pedicure & full set). I asked him to do my nails thick so they'll not break (I've had my nails done this way for 20+ yrs just fine). Ten days later 9/3 my left thumb nail broke & I had to crazy glue it. -- Then I go again 9/20 for a "fill" & just 8 days later, 9/28 another nail broke. So, I go online & book a $5 nail repair for 9/29. -- So, on 9/29 I told him I wanted my nail much thicker like I previously aske... read more

REVIEW BY KIM CARTER, PART 2: Then I asked him why he charged me $33 for my 9/20 fill, when I booked online for a "$18 regular fill" & he said he used a higher product called Solar (?) instead. I didnt book/ask for that! I explained I didn't want to look for another salon but his prices were too high to be treated so badly. Then he says loud so everyone could hear "I DON'T CARE BECAUSE I GOT MORE CUSTOMERS AND I DON'T NEED YOU!" REVIEW BY KIM CARTER, PART 3: Note: On my 8/24 visit, I tipped TWENTY ($10 for a full set & $10 for a pedi) & on my 9/20 visit I tipped FIVE for my fill. I tip generously even when the service doesn't warrant it (I understand people have bad days sometimes) but I've never experienced such entitled arrogance & abuse! They must be rolling in the dough to think they can insult customers like that. Oh wait, maybe it's the deceptive pricing on their online booking site? Or maybe it's the bait&switch upcharge you don't see coming ... read more
