Arranged an emergency appointment as I was in agony all night, no sleep etc. Got my appointment for 2.40 pm that day. To show up only to be told I missed a previous appointment and had to pay £20 before I could see the dentist. I'm not disputing I missed an appointment but seriously what happened to free a the point of need. NHS motto isn't it.
