The check engine light came on in the car I bought within a week of purchase. The owner assured me he would take care of it. He blew me off for the first month saying his mechanic was unavailable. No intention whatsoever of doing the right thing. He should be ashamed of himself. Beware if you buy a car it will come inspected and if a check engine light comes on immediately he doesn’t care and you will have a problem at inspection time a year later. Get everything in writing from him.
