Just over 1 year ago, I underwent an emergency aortic valve replacement at DMC Detroit. I had previously been taken to DMC Huron Valley by ambulance with my lungs filling with blood. Once admitted, I was tended to by an outstanding team of ER doctors, nurses, and technicians who went out of their way to make me feel cared for and comfortable.
