I recently cold-called Dan for some insight on a 1969 AMC Hurst SC/Rambler 4-Speed that I'm looking to sell on behalf of a neighbor. I took in my beat-to-crap 360. I had run that thing hard in my jeep for the past 16 years. It was time for a rebuild, but I was dismayed to find all the engine shops I found from Los Angeles to San Diego either refused to work on it, or had no idea what work was involved for an AMC mill. I heard from multiple shops, "just drop an LS in it." I don't want an LS, and wanted to keep my AMC. I dropped it off at AMC AZ Resto's since they were the only ones well-versed in AMC's. Dan and everybody at the shop have been amazing. Very knowledgeable and excellent at explaining what need to be repaired, why, and how. As a newer classic vehicle owner I really appreciate the expertise. They are actually one of the main reasons that I felt comfortable gating into an AMC. Having one of the best around a short drive away has already come in handy twice!

In nearly thirty years of dealing with automotive shops of various kinds, I am not sure I have ever dealt with anyone as genuinely fantastic as Dan and his crew at AZ AMC Restorations. They do outstanding work at reasonable rates and have insanely high integrity especially when it comes to billing. The whole crew are car fanatics, AMC enthusiasts, and community members first and people running and working in an automotive shop second. It shows in the quality of their work and in how they treat their customers.
