This facility deserves a MUCH higher rating than it currently has. The staff at the ATU are absolutely S-Tier human beings and top-notch professionals. These guys know their stuff, and are some of the kindest, most compassionate and understanding people I’ve had the privilege of meeting. This place was responsible for my sons suicide. I don't know how else to say it, the way they treated him, drugged him and transported him away from his home and community is appalling. He was medically disabled due to a surgery that the axis system made a referral for and had been harassing him for weeks prior. He was ADHD and was medicated for it by axis as well but was labeled a meth head when he was having a hard time. My son never recovered from the consequences of their action. I checked myself into the crisis center ATU because I knew I needed some help. Somehow I only got worse during my three days. Over my three days, I saw three different psychiatrists, took part in the only two “skills” groups offered (and those both felt like they were slapped together at the last second), and met with a therapist exactly one time.
