Not good for Colorado, too few appraisers. Compared to their competitors, they do not employ enough AMCs to complete any non-urban homes in Colorado. I discourage any Lenders from using AXIS unless they don't want to get easy appraisals completed. I have used many other AMCs near Boulder, CO and AXIS is the only AMC unable to get a reasonable appraisal assignment.
I gave 2stars bc the appraiser was thorough but under appraised my home by over $30K. Not to mention the price they charge is a lot higher than most appraisers.
I have been in the mortgage business for over 8 years, and i have seen everything. This is the worst appraisal management company i have ever come across. Took over 21 days to complete an appraisal, when revisions were needed no-one stepped up 6 days for a minor change and when that was done guess what more revisions needed. We understand emergencies arise and things happen but the company is not standing up and taking charge when their appraisers are unable to complete the task required. Absolutely terrible company. Avoid them like the plague. 26 days to get an appraisal, and it only came after three missed deadlines and many, many high pressure calls demanding it be completed.
Myself and my whole company has actually opted to ONLY work with Axis! They are amazing and our reps is absolutely the best! Everyone is extremely easy to work with and the turn times are great.
