I recently joined the nursing team at Awakenings by the Sea. I like the homelike surroundings. The clients receive much more than treatment and recovery from addiction. Each client that enters through the doorway is treated with respect, compassion and sensitivity while working on one of the most challenging time in their lives. I appreciate that as a part of the recovery team. Recovery is a day to day process, but the staff and clinical manager, Tabatha provide you with tools and confidence to make your recovery a positive ... read more

Wonderful treatment facility for woman. Prime close to ocean location, walking there during stressful days is an absolute to freshen the mind, spirit, and to just reconnect. The staff are great. Having 3 healthy meals and snacks done everyday by their own personal chef. You are most likely gonna come out with a few extra pounds.. 😉 Awakenings by the sea is an all around great place to go and heal and recover from alcoholism/addictions. They treat you as an individual who matters. I definitely would recommend this treatment ... read more

I am sober over 2 years . The staff at awakenings was superb . I have gotten back many of the things I gave away in my active addiction. We just built our dream home . I still use the communication techniques I learned at awakenings . I also still attend my twelve step group . Awakenings saved my life !

I believe God put me here at the exact time I needed to be. The sober-sisters I have kept in close friendship since meeting there, the loving and gentle staff, I absolutely am a new woman. I learned SO much with the tools I was taught. It helped that most, or all of the staff had at one time been in my shoes. So when they said "I know what you are going thru",,,,,they really did! I will have 7 months on the 30th of this month. I cannot wait to come back for the alumni picnic in Aug. Also, to go back to the lil yellow "AA" Ho... read more

I'm an ex-addict. When anyone accepts correction, God frees them. Some times quickly like me, some time slowly. But if you obey truth, he will set you free. These folks help the physical process to healing. Amen

In recovery a woman needs compassion, empathy, and guidance. When I entered this place my mind was in a fog, I felt defeated, and hopeless. During the process I fought at first. Being angry at the world, myself, and God Himself. To the point that depression was DEEPLY ROOTED in my heart. (Brain)Why did He make me an addict was what I thought. Why can’t I stop using drugs and alcohol? Why do I feel like I have to mask pain to live day to day? Along with back tracking and other methods of self reconciliation awakenings by the s... read more
