The spa looked nice and comfortable. However, they started our massage 25 mins late. What was bad was the massage itself - I don’t think their masseuse had much massage training. It felt like the old lady who gave me the massage was massaging for the first time in her life. The 3 stars is for the look of the place and the fact that it’s easy to get an appointment. They also don’t speak any English so it’s difficult to communicate. Disappointed with the service. Happy foot spa down the street had much better massages
Clair did my massage today and it was amazing! She checked in frequently to see if the pressure was good enough. We’ve been here a few times and we enjoyed it every single time. Highly recommend!
I didn't realize there was no option to request a preferred gender for the practitioner when I booked the appointment. I've only worked with women so that was an assumption on my part. I tried to keep an open mind, but the massage was aggressive from the start. I had to ask multiple times to go easier. I always have deep tissue so I'm not sensitive. Ladies, if you're particular about who does your bodywork, I suggest looking elsewhere.
Linda did a wonderful job releasing my shoulders and upper back! I need a lot of pressure to address the severity of my knots and Linda understood and was able to do it! I will be coming back. Great massage in Palo Alto!!
