I scheduled an appointment with in March 2025 for May 2025. His website and the Medicare website both said he accepted Medicare. When I got there I was told he stopped accepting it 7 days earlier. Although he did nothing illegal, it was rude and inconsiderate not to inform me and his other patients.
Dr. Caplan is an exceptional physician and by far the most impressive dermatologist I have ever met in my 10 years of living in NYC. He listens deeply, he is thorough and collaborative when crafting a treatment plan. What an asset to the community he is.
Couldn’t have asked for a better doctor than Dr. Caplan. He’s sincere in caring about/understanding patients concerns while also being upfront and knowledgeable about treatment options. Added bonus that the staff at his office are also the best I’ve ever worked with and do all that they can to ensure you can be seen by the doctor when you have a need, even with his busy schedule.
