Absolutely LOVE Aviva Woodlands for my mom. My mom LOVES living there too. The staff is amazing from housekeeping , ( mom's place is ALWAYS perfect.) Laundry( always put away for her) to maintenance to the dining room employees, and the great nurses and aides that assist mom. I always leave feeling like she is in great hands!
Yesterday was the first time my MIL attended the weekly crafts. She had so much fun visiting with her friends. When she discovered this was a weekly occurrence, she was tickled pink. I showed my FIL a picture from the event. He noticed her true smile immediately, then he paused. "Her eyes. They are filled with light and life. I haven't seen that for years. " Thanks for all that you do to put the light back in her eyes.
0/5. Poor communication among staff to family. My family member was there, suffering from dementia. MAJOR lack of proper medical care and knowledge. She was told she could not leave her room (that's confinement), then they "forgot" to feed her 3 meals one day. Staff "apologized" to us. When she was "confined" to her room, they failed to inform family they are to go downstairs and order her meals and bring them back up to her. My MIL was yelled at by staff when she did so because she left my grandma "unattended" in her room. ... read more
This is a wonderful community! This is truly how healthcare should be, we provide all kinds of fun activities and outings for our residents, and fun events for the entire community. I always hear how much our staff love where they work, and seeing everyone grow with us is really awesome. My experience with Aviva has been nothing but positive, please, come see for yourself! 😊
Used to give them high marks but feel the “assistance” part of assisted living has fallen far below what they say they can do when you sign up. It says 24 hour assistance available but it is hard to reach people and communication with the care team is poor. Now there are new people there so maybe it will improve? Also no special diets are accommodated.
