Would give zero stars if possible. The main company handling our home insurance claim, hired by Aviva, still has not remediated flooding in our small basement after 6+ months. They left a large wet chair in the middle of our basement to mold over those months and still have not come by to discard of it, even though they hired people to come by and finish the baseboards. I wish I could give zero stars. I was initially told I only needed to pay first and last month, but I was unexpectedly charged for three months upfront. They also incorrectly listed me as having no prior insurance, which resulted in my policy being canceled and then renewed—forcing me to pay three months again, followed by two more weeks later. Absolute unprofessionalism and customer negligence, i am sick amd tired of their games now. I am going to take steps to escalate my complaint now as aggressively and publicly as possible, this is just nuts how much financial, time and mental damage aviva employees are causing.
This company is a nightmare. For over a year they gave me an insurance rate that accounted for my out of province driving experience. They even renewed me for an additional year at that rate. Then all of a sudden, a few weeks before my next payment, they quadrupled my rates and told my broker, they are not recognizing 10 of my 12 years of driving, due to it being out out of province experience.
