Landed a tad late (11:00pm) but I received an email letting my know what car space to get my car (president club member). Grabbed my keys and tried to exit but there was no one at the booth so I could not leave the garage. 5 other cars were circling trying to exit. Ended up staying at the airport Hyatt last minute and getting next to no sleep. Horrible.

Huge shoutout to the team at this Avis location. Jeffrey and especially the blonde woman at desk (didn’t get her name unfortunately) inside absolutely saved me in a pinch. She was calm and genuinely focused on helping and I really appreciated it. Would absolutely rent from this team again.

On December 17, 2025 I made a prepaid reservation with Avis for a 7 passenger vehicle to be picked up at the Pittsburgh Airport location on December 19, 2025. On December 19, 2025, I landed at 11PM and went to the Avis counter. I was told there were no 7 passenger vehicles available and was put in a Ford Edge. I asked if there would be a price adjustment for the vehicle I was given versus the vehicle I prepaid for. We arrived at PIT around 5 am the morning of Christmas Eve and wanted to hit the road ASAP after landing. Similar to other people's experiences, if you have a red eye and are arriving early, this location does not open until 7 am. Express checkout with a QR code was presented as an option in the Avis app but the gates were disabled when we tried to exit, which was baffling. I recently rented a car for my Christmas weekend, they gave me a car with toll pass even though I paid for their unlimited toll pass. I paid all my tolls through my credit card but when I return and informed it, they reduced the amount I paid through my credit card… the lady on the counter (forgot her name ) was super awesome on hearing your side of the story and she corrected the issue in few minutes.. definitely would try my car here in future as well
