came to the counter WITH A RESERVATION, the lady at the desk proceeded to tell me there were no cars, then changed the story and said that she only had large 12 seater vans. After i had explained to her my situation and that i just need a car, she turns around and there had been a piece of paper with my name on it and keys to a car. she did not apologize for the confusion.

0 stars. I picked up a vehicle at Bakersfield, CA Airport. 1) The car had physical damage (bumper corners loose, 1 side taped w/ clear packing tape. I took photos & went on my way assuming it was documented in Avis' system. 2) While driving vehicle from Bakersfield to LA, I discovered an immense vibration in tires and steering wheel above 50mph. Absolute garbage for customer service. I realized I was driving without insurance and I was told by the office where I rented the car from that I could go to the Bakersfield airport and change a credit card that will give me coverage. The representative told me I would have to wait until the contract ended. So I asked her so I have to drive the car without insurance? She said yes.
