Get your car ANYWHERE ELSE. Avis has a great reputation, which is why I’m leaving this review. Avis has become a total scam. Called twice: Avis Customer Service and this location specifically to let them know our train was running late. They gave the car away anyway and sent us to O’Hare. When we got there, O’Hare told us we had to call customer service to change the pickup location. Then they told us we’d have to pay for an upgrade because they didn’t have the size car we wanted. First off, I have to say that this location really stepped up, and they weren't the location we picked up from (St. Louis Lambert Airport), nor the location we were due to return the car to, and they really didn't have to help us at all. But after St. Louis told us we would have to wait and get a Canadian Non-Resident Insurance Card in Detroit (so make another stop at 7-8 pm at night, at the Detroit Airport, to get an insurance card I had already called ahead to make sure was ready), I was so worried we would get there and t... read more
Went to the airport to get a vehicle after reserving it 3 months ago to be told to pound sand and they didn’t care they didn’t have a vehicle for me. They told me to UBER wherever I needed to go. Went and seen Dee at Budget on Capital street and she made it happen. She was super friendly, professional and very accommodating. Thank you Dee!!!
