I've used the Van Ness Avis numerous times over the last 5 plus years. The staff is helpful and pleasant. I have only had excellent experiences with this Avis.

My husband and I had a really negative experience at this car branch located at 4215 Connecticut Ave NW in Washington, D.C, and specifically regarding employee Hani. On February 15th, I had a confirmed reservation to pick up a vehicle at this location. Unfortunately, the employee insisted he called us the day prior to pick, on February 14th to inform that the vehicle will be available an hour and a half later than expect (10:30 am versus confirmed reservation time of 9:00 am). They are improving on customer service! I arrived to find a car inventory issue (like other reviews I read), but Ms. Tarik generously provided me with a car better than the one I had initially reserved. Good people in a bad business! Pro-tip: a little patience and kindness goes a long way.
