I had rented from another company. When I arrived, a car was not available for me, but Avis had cars. Avis rented to me without account and without reservation at the same rate I had reserved with the other company. When they had the chance to gouge me they didn’t and I appreciate that. Grand Forks Airport Avis gets all stars from me.
Had a good rental experience at this Avis. Got a newer Ford SUV with less than 500mi, very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Desk located on ground floor in terminal. Early morning return is no problem with key drop.
Absolutely terrible experience my fiance and I rented a car with a two children to go on a family vacation they seemed great everything went smooth until we dropped it off on a Sunday and on Tuesday they accused of us smoking in the car and saying no they found ashes and an odor in the vehicle! Now neither of us smoke at all! And neither do our one and two year old! Arrived in Grand Forks at 5:00pm on 1/21/25 after a 14 hour day of flying. It was -15 F, windy, snowing and my battery was dead. I had trouble getting into the car and wasn’t dressed to be out in that weather for prolonged periods. I told the woman behind the counter and asked if I could leave my bag there while I worked on getting into my car outside. She said no, said she wasn’t “allowed to take possession” of my belongings.
