I rented a car from Lake Havasu City to take and drop off in Las Vegas.. The worker at Lake Havasue was wonderful. Had no problem with the car. I filled it up with gas and dropped it off at Harry Reed, International Airport. Upon returning home, I see I was $73.28 on top of the rental.. I called Avis customer service to inquire as to what this fee was for.. I no longer had my reservation number as everything went smoothly.. Just wanted to give a quick shout-out to Trevor, who checked me out today. You can tell when someone actually takes pride in their job and respects people's time. He was sharp, fast, and completely professional throughout the whole process of getting me squared away with my vehicle. Didn't hit me with any scripted nonsense, just solid, efficient service with a great attitude. Employees like Trevor are exactly why I keep renting from Avis. Hit and miss. Watch out for rentals without unlimited mileage, they charge you $35 plus $0.40 per mile. A one-way rental from Havasu to Phoenix was quoted to me at $44 at the reservation time, then re-quoted as $84 when I picked up the car, and then $148.00 when they charged my credit card. Then gas and an Uber to get to them. It would have been easier to get an Uber all the way to Phoenix.
