AWFUL! This review is for Avis in general not just this location. I called CS to make sure this location accepted debit cards and they assured me they did so I rented a car online and paid the full payment with a debit card. This morning, July 25th at 7am was my pickup date and time. I arrived at the location and went through the process of getting the rental, the card reader wouldn’t accept my debit card. My husband booked a Camry, and they did not have it. Told us they only have a blazer from the airport, despite having confirmed a Camry and having so many cars on the lot. We had to just take what was there as we were in an emergency trip. Upon return of the car a week or so later, nobody even checked the car, we cane back to get our Sunpass transponder the next day and it wasn’t there anymore. They don’t answer the phone after 50 calls just send to India call center
I recently had a disappointing experience with Avis Rent a Car that left me feeling misled and frustrated. I needed to extend my rental by a couple of days, so I visited the Avis office in Myrtle Beach to make the change in person. The staff there were helpful at the time and assured me that I could do split billing when I dropped the car off at the Knoxville location.
