I'm so sad my usual Avis in Van Ness closed because I have had nothing but issues renting from this location. The staff are usually pretty friendly, but I have rarely been able to walk in and out of there quickly. They never have cars and there is typically an hour (sometimes more) wait even if you prepaid, are Avis preferred, or reserved weeks in advance. If they do have cars, the wait time is so long because they're understaffed. The cars are rarely thoroughly cleaned, assuming because the turn around needs to be so quick.... read more
Je ne recommande pas du tout. La personne que nous avons eue n’a fait strictement aucun effort. Étant français, nous avons tenté comme nous pouvions, mais visiblement, la patience n’était pas incluse dans le service. Nous avons donc utilisé Google Traduction pour nous faire comprendre mais lire semblait déjà trop demander. Et pourtant, nous étions arrivés pile à l’heure recommandée par notre agence de voyage. Booked a car 2 weeks prior. Came in at the time of reservation and was told there is a "wait on vehicles" for atleast an hour....sitting here writing this (40 minutes so far) while wife is in the hotel trying to check out on her own with the kids and take all our luggage into the lobby. We have timed plans after this which are now all thrown off. If you're looking for professionalism and on time service, do NOT book with Avis. You will get none of that. Efficiency is not part of their policy apparently.
Everything you're reading about this place is true. We've been here 30 minutes and they've only serviced a couple people. There's one lady and she's moving as slow as humanly possible. Avoid this place.
Way understaffed.
