I have heard of this place for sometime now and finally made it out to this incredible facility. I was surprised to hear it's been there for 10 years! A true hidden gem in Apopka, that is only open on Saturdays to the public. At 10am they start bringing out birds, one by one talking about each individual species. The staff was incredibly well knowledgable and willing to answer any questions about the raptors. This is a wonderful place packed of education that's not only fun, it's up close and very personal!
I love this place. Enjoy and help save raptors. They keep our planet clean.
An outstanding facility with an incredible staff and group of volunteers! Having these wonderful people introduce you to their beautiful resident raptors is a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon! I have many great photos to remind me of the time I got to spend there back when I lived in Florida...I hope to make it back to visit a gain some day soon!
I volunteered there only once but it changed me forever. You learn a new respect for these kind people who not only teach but live it. Kids love this place. Owl fest in November is great fun as well.
