I tend to prefer Avera clinics and clinic staff, but their business office sure does its best to convinced me otherwise. Their hold advertisements are at maximum volume, and the scheduling staff range from friendly and helpful to very rude and dismissive. Most frustrating was being told one test must be completed before the other, and then claiming the second is not needed so it can't be scheduled, completely contradicting the order from my doctor. Yikes. Saw my provider to touch base on the next step for treatment & she recommended I have a procedure done. Before leaving her office, I asked if I could get an estimate/quote for the procedure. Later that day, I had a lady call and left a voicemail giving me the quote. I understand, it’s a quote and things can change however, I was NOT expecting it to be double the amount that was quoted.
