Alex as a therapist was great and comfortable. However, the lack of transparency about the pricing as well as the sheer amount that they are trying to charge feels very predatory and unfortunately I will not be going back.

I would give 0 stars if I could. I had an absolutely horrible experience here. It was extremely difficult to get in with any of the counselors. If you work a normal 9-5, you should expect to wait 3-4 weeks between visits. The counselor that I met with continuously talked about themselves and their personal experiences, spoke over me when I was trying to explain something, and then gaslit me about a concern not being “that bad”. I am so grateful to have found Avenues of Counseling and Candace! I felt supported by the staff when I called to make the appointment. They matched me with Candace and I haven’t looked back. I wanted to be seen for anxiety but have gotten so much more. I get tools that have helped me change my thinking when anxiety or stress hits hard. There isn’t a topic we don’t discuss (family, work, the past). I highly recommend giving them a try!
