Jane Steele at Avenue 42 did my bridal hair and makeup at the Ave 42 salon. From our initial hair and makeup trial to the big day itself, Jane was so easygoing, professional, and very open to any tweaks or changes. She had me looking and feeling my best for my wedding day, and my hair and makeup held beautifully throughout the 12-hour day! Thanks Jane for all of your beautiful work!
My bridesmaids and I had our hair done here. My bridesmaids and the mothers all got their makeup done too. It all turned out amazing! I was so happy with the way our hair and makeup turned out!
I cancelled an appointment 22 hours in advance when I realized I was coming down with the flu. I was charged full price, with no option to apply a portion of the balance to a future service. I appreciate the need for a 24-hour cancellation policy, but making no exceptions for those with a doctor’s note encourages us to put staff and other clients at risk of getting sick :(
Ashley no showed for my 11am appointment. This appointment was made 5 weeks ago in person. I confirmed via text and with a person, dove 40 min 1 way and the shop is CLOSED!!!! Would recommend if you want your time wasted!!!
Jane is THE BEST! I’m so happy with my hair and really appreciate being able to walk into a salon that isn’t unwelcoming/prissy, which I think a lot of salons can be. When you’re in a chair for 3 hours, that doesn’t make for a great experience. While balayage isn’t cheap, it isn’t something you want to skimp on… I’ve definitely learned the hard way before. I HIGHLY recommend Jane for any cut or color services.
Ask for Ash, she is amazing! Ashley really cares about your hair health. I’m so glad I found her and took her advice! My balayage is beautiful and just what I had hoped for! She also gave me a Lob and I love the cut!
Sydney and Krista did the hair and make-up over the weekend for our entire bridal party. They are true professionals who remained flexible and patient throughout both the pre-trial process and day of getting ready, even when we had to change hair styles a couple of times. They arrived on time, stayed with us to make sure everyone was happy and confident with their end result, and truly made the entire day pleasant and fun.
