This place is currently CLOSED! Can't get through since the telephone number has been disconnected. Called Clarion's parent company- they said this property isn't on their list. Spoke to the Emporia, KS Tourism office to ask.. The tourism rep (who lives in Emporia) told me that they've been closed since last March due to Covid. I booked on hotwire, got the runaround telling me it isn't closed. Clarion's facebook page lists as permanently closed. They should really update so that nobody else gets trapped in a bad booking!

My brief experience here was one for the books. Everything seems decent, staff seems helpful. Then we get to our room, the key doesn’t work for five minutes. Finally get inside, only to find that the smoke detector (in the non-smoking room) is covered with plastic wrap, the AC unit was off as it would not run without a loud buzzing noise, and last but not least, above the beds is a large and prominent BLOOD spattered stain on the ceiling.
