A Horrible Experience As long time Pennington resident, Iâve eaten at Avanti on many occasions. I took some good friends there last night-What a MISTAKE! We had reservations for 7:30 and were seated on time. That's the only thing good about the evening. We all ordered from the "daily specials" menu, after waiting about 20 min for someone to come to the table. The men ordered a delicious pork and chicken dish. The ladies ordered the beef filet tips. Do not eat here! This restaurant is horrible! We went with a group and had a reservation. They rushed us through our dinner because they had double booked. When we asked to see the dessert menu they actually rolled their eyes! We spent good money, appetizers, full meals and were treated very, very rudely. Although the food was good I would NEVER return to this restaurant and will make it my mission to tell people. I wouldn't even give it one star.
If you have the money Avanti is a good restaraunt serving fresh italian food. The only issue with Avanti is that the price per plate is pretty steep. I would recommend filling up on their delicious bread and then splitting an appetizer.
Quality food at a great price We've been there twice as we live in Pennington and it was delicious. Both times we had very nice experiences. The first time we saw this quaint little restaurant we just stopped in to take a look. It is decorated nice around the holidays and looked elegant. We had great service and they even let us go and try some desserts (though they normally don't do it when they're busy). nice experience I have yet to go with someone who did not thoroughly enjoy their meal. Service has always been great and I've never gone away hungry. Atmosphere is cozy and sort of rustic. Very friendly ervers. Specials change all the time. BYOB.
