DO NOT LIVE HERE When I began looking for apartments with 2 large dogs, my options were fairly narrow. I was recommended to Las Flores because they allow large dogs and a park that allows dogs is attached to the grounds. I took a tour and thought that the complex was nice. I figured it would be my best option, as I go to UCSD and it is close to campus as well. HUGE mistake. When I first took my tour, I asked the staff about what utilities residents were responsible for. The woman working here specifically told me only water,... read more

What You Should Know It is a wolf in sheep's clothing!! It seems like an affordable, clean and pet friendly complex but it is all just a facade. Management waits until your moving truck is packed, in the driveway and your ready to pick up the keys and sign the lease before they disclose the actual terms of the contract. Wow, 60 days notice instead of the usual 30? A copy of my vehicle registration? You want me to fill out the walk through forms and return them to the office? Um, not my job but ok......and that was just the b... read more

A home with character These are one of the few sets of building around La Jolla that still display some character in their presentation. While everything else seems to be painted some dull variation of dirt, Las Flores remains true with its white exteriors and blue tile trim. Parking is not great, with the outdoor spaces way too small for most modern cars to fit well, and close quartered garages, though tenants do have the benefits of gated parking. The landscaping is very natural, and the units simply organized but sufficie... read more

Quiet location Nice quiet location behind the Mormon temple in La Jolla. Close to UCSD and the shuttle line. The apartments were very spacious and well designed. Good sized kitchens as well. Depending on where in the complex your apt is located, the laundry room might be a little walk. Also, parking is extremely hard for guests.
