I would not recommend living here based on my move out experience. After I moved out, my entire security deposit was withheld, and I was billed additional charges that were excessive. The charges included painting and patching, even though my understanding of the lease was that minor nail holes would be charged at a much lower rate than what I was billed along with inflated rate for other minor repairs. Update: Apparently they’ve set up a fake neighbor / model apartment to keep a closer eye on me after I justifiably pointed out that I was being watched (and lowkey harassed). Mind you, the only reason I felt that way in the first place is because I received a reminder about bringing my garbage can in before 9 a.m. while 70% of the residents don’t bring theirs in at all. The devil works hard, but AV Lofts works harder. Sure, they’ll dangle a few months free or maybe even a shiny $300 Amazon card in front of you—but don’t worry, they’ll find a way to sneak it back into “hidden fees.” Somehow, I paid more in utilities in July (when I was literally out of town) than any other month living here.
