I cannot stress enough how hard it is to get a 15 year old boy to talk about his feelings. We booked with MiKenna for his depression and I was bracing for a disaster but instead, i'm impressed by how everything turned out. She is so chill and didn't push him at all. He just finished his fourth telehealth session and actually smiled afterward. As a parent, seeing that shift is just a huge relief.

Paying $300 for an intake evaluation out of pocket made me doubt, but it was worth every single penny. If you have a kid with behavioral issues, ask for Nicole. My 8 year-old usually screams when we go to doctors, but she somehow keeps him totally engaged for the full 45 minutes using games. He actually asks when we're going back! His teacher even emailed me to ask what changed because he's been so much calmer at school. I could cry I'm so happy with the progress.

Finding a place that genuinely understands neurodivergence and handles identity support with real respect is so rare these days. 吝 They made the entire intake process simple and the virtual sessions have been a total lifesaver for my schedule. I love how they tailor the approach to what you actually need instead of just using some generic cookie cutter method. I absolutely recommend them to anyone struggling to find the right fit.
