Never buy a **** I bought my Sorento in 2020 and was the second owner. Shortly after, we realized there were oil consumption problems. I went to Jim Ellis Kia of Kennesaw and started the oil consumption tests. The first time, it wasn't documented correctly so we had to repeat it. The service department is horrible. My car was towed there for repair due to EPC light and the check engine light came on. They first asked me what did I do to the car. Like I am inspiring to be a mechanic and was tinkering away. Then they said they were backed up 2 weeks and I could come get my car and take it to somewhere else. If you absolutely love working with people who are shady, deceitful, and will do everything they can to s**** you over, strong VW is the perfect place for you!Was told multiple times I'd be getting a certain number to trade in my vehicle, made the mistake of trusting them and they ended up giving me $2,000 less than I was told. Also, have an 800+ credit score and got a much worse interest rate than I was originally told. Terrible business practices in the service department. First I made and appointment online for an oil change. When I get there they tell me they don't take appointments for oil changes and that I will likely wait three hours. Then they tell me that the service I wanted that was quoted as $191 dollars on the wbsite was actually going to be over $340. When talking to them about the discrepancy the service manager came rude and combative. DO NOT GET YOUR CAR SERVICED AT PATTERSON VOLKSWAGEN!!!
Unbearable Suffering: Volkswagen of Nanuet Fails Miserably.My experience with Volkswagen of Nanuet has been an absolute nightmare. Despite multiple problems with my car, including a malfunctioning AC, the dealership provided no assistance beyond returning the car to me. On June 15, 2023, I traded in my Jetta GLI with low mileage and purchased a brand new 2023 GTI 40th Anniversary Edition. The buying process was most basic customer service. After 2 days of owning the car, I noticed that the backup camera was freezing, and the Apple Car Play has distorted pixels. We purchased a VW Atlas from this location and at 11,162 miles it went crazy. Danny Martin the General Manager could not have cared less. The engine shut off while I was driving and it stopped twice in traffic! Vehicle messages alerted ERROR: Driver door contact switch and FAULT: Electronic parking brake. The dealer was aware of these issues with the 2021 models and said it was an easy fix but had to wait for a chip which could take months due to the supply issues.
