Not a place run with efficiency. Seems chaotic and overly challenging for the staff. A simple task turns into a long day of nothing. Trade in a car and not have paperwork completed. Adding points to your loan to make profit. Overpriced cars for sale with unfinished work. In all honesty I was satisfied with being able to find a car worth my money. Tempe AutoNation required me to take out an auto loan in order to purchase a new 4RUNNER.I put $1000 down for a 4RUNNER already manufactured but not on the lot in July. The vehicle was promised to be here in August but didn't arrive until September but that's not the issue. When I went to pick up the vehicle I was told their policy was that I had to take out a loan/finance in order to purchase the vehicle. I bought a 2020 Tacoma in the beginning of 2020 with an extended warranty. Signed all the paperwork and a few days later the finance guy calls me and tells me that I have to go back and resign all my paperwork because he managed to give me the paperwork with a different VIN. He pawned off his mistake on the sales guy which whatever. If I could give them 0 stars I would. I walked into this dealership and Told them specifically that I did not want the optional gap in service and the optional auto gear . In total all of these items cost $4995. I told them I did not want these items. But they still submitted the deal with $4995 worth of warranties that I Told them that I did not want in the 1st place. By far the worst dealership ive ever been to. I purchased a car on the 30th of March and NO ONE mentioned anything about there being an issue. I thought i could trust that they would take care of the rest of the finance part since i had traded in a vehicle. A month later they completely have not done ANYTHING and ignore my calls. They also were able to sell and pocket the money for the car i had traded in lol. I called today, because my hubcap was broken when they rotated my tires. Last time I was there, they drew on my car and didn't wash it off. Even a car wash didn't get it off. So I left that in the review. When I called, the service representative said "This is unrelated, but last time you didn't give me the best review. My paycheck is affected by this so take that into consideration the next time you leave me a review." It was super unprofessional. I didn't even leave a bad reciew, just an average one...
We had a magical experience at AutoNation Toyota, Tempe, AZ. David Gallegos was a friendly, excellent, knowledgeable sales person. Consumer Reports has a precise, excellent guide on purchasing a new vehicle. Read and follow it perfectly and you'll do well. I have no problem purchasing extra insurance for tires, damage outside factory warranties, etc. They have actually served us well.
