History Established in 1996. AutoNation's roots trace back to 1996, when current Chairman H. Wayne Huizenga invested in an Atlanta-based waste management company that later became Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Republic Industries, Inc. Republic Industries would go on to acquire most of the more than 321 new vehicle franchises the Company operates today, as well as several waste management and vehicle rental companies, before changing its name on April 6, 1999 to AutoNation, Inc.

I’m so thrilled that I went to Mazda Corpus Christi!! I was terribly unhappy with my previous vehicle, and Michael Palmer and his son, Michael Palmer, Jr. absolutely took care of all of my concerns. They helped me choose my Mazda CX-5. It’s perfectly roomy and luxurious, yet it still gets great gas mileage. The gorgeous black paint glistens rainbow glitter in the sunlight! I recommend that EVERYONE buy their vehicles here. The Palmers treated me better than any other car dealers. I will buy all my future vehicles here!
