History Established in 1996. AutoNation's roots trace back to 1996, when current Chairman H. Wayne Huizenga invested in an Atlanta-based waste management company that later became Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Republic Industries, Inc. Republic Industries would go on to acquire most of the more than 321 new vehicle franchises the Company operates today, as well as several waste management and vehicle rental companies, before changing its name on April 6, 1999 to AutoNation, Inc.

Wife had brake malfunction message come up on her CX30 and stopped in at Mazda Corpus Christi. She was told they can't help her and they're "a week out on diagnosis". Nice way to run a business.
Wonderful experience with Joey and his team! My wife had a difficult repeat gripe on her '21 CX5 and the service dept managed to figure it out! It took a little bit of time but only because the dealership was still being built and they had to borrow the Mitsubishi's service space. Regardless, we were given a nice spec loaner and had no issues whatsoever, and Joey was great at communicating all that was being done and a possible timeline. Highly recommend!
