Summary: Poor communication • Missed basic battery drain cause • Week-long vehicle hold with no answer • Failed diagnostic tests - Details: I took in my 2021 Ford Mustang to Auto Tech Service & Repair because my battery kept dying. I asked for a diagnostic test and specifically told the receptionist to make sure the technician ran the test with my dash cam and iPhone chargers unplugged (I had some suspicions) — which is super basic common sense when diagnosing a parasitic battery drain on a car battery. Recently I tried to work with this shop and I dropped my car off for my appointment for diagnosis / second opinion after the dealer gave me an estimate. They had my car all day, never updated me and when I finally called to check in at 3, they made me wait until 5:00 to pick it up and then told me they never got to it and never did the diagnosis. Sent multiple cars for these guys to repair over the course of a year and every car came back in top condition. Ran over to the shop a few times and I will say its extremely busy, but that is good too because it just means their service and their techs know what they are doing. Being a mechanic myself, it was nice to hear the customer interactions and how the team at autotech handles situation.
