I had been taking my ‘74 Thing to French’s in Yucca Valley, but recently discovered ABW (owned and operated my Mike Simon). Unless you are your own mechanic (which I am decidedly NOT) owning an old car comes with the need for constant “fixing” which means you need to be able to trust the guy that you task to do that, as it’s generally an open-ended (unknown cost) process. Having been to a handful of classic VW shops for service on my '69 Transporter, Mike definitely stands out. He's incredibly friendly with a depth of knowledge rarely found on these old cars. He took the time to explain what and why he was doing work and made sure it was done right before I make my annual trek cross country (3k+ miles). My VW hasn't run this well for some time! Thanks Mike, you're the best!!!
