I first entered Dr. Gotvald’s clinic for a vein problem I am experiencing. Among other symptoms I was hoping his treatment could resolve, I have a pinching sensation in my leg after having to undergo a procedure in which part of my fibula had been removed. We were patiently waiting for the appointment 6 weeks. The doctor spent just 15 minutes with my wife and said her problem is not just cosmetic and he sent her to Ultrasound, he said he will review the result and propose a treatment today. The ultrasound was booked and they said they will book it on another day and after that the doctor should review the result and propose treatment free of charge (for ultra sound we should pay extra which makes sense). I saw this doctor in 2017. Fantastic doctor! 4/4/22 Policies/appointment scheduling is horrific. Got a new diagnosis on Friday and tried to book a follow up appointment to consult with Dr Gotvald before proceeding with vascular surgery in Houston. I’m considered a new patient now, okay. Appointment scheduler told me they needed a $50 deposit to schedule an appointment, no problem. Fantastic surgeon! He rushes me from the emergency to surgery when I was experiencing early stroke symptoms. The team found a clogged carotid artery. Dr. Gotvald was able to remove the plaque from my carotid and stop a major stroke from occurring. Recovery was seamless and the hospital team he had was great. Under these terrible circumstances he made me feel that I was in the best of hands. I have the utmost confidence in his skills and care and am forever grateful.
