After 8 weeks bag log just received this week the email that they can not help me on my quad 44 pre amp from the mid 80’s. I can only say make sure before you bring anything in they really are SURE they are capable to do service or repair for you .

We did indeed take this unit in by mistake. Unlike the early Quad units, of which we have worked on many examples, this model uses proprietary devices not readily available as aftermarket parts. When your unit's turn came up, the shop owner deemed it best to be returned at no charge, and recommended contacting the manufacturer directly. Again, our sincere apologies for the inconvenience this has caused.

Mike serviced my 1976 Pioneer SX1250 receiver, and I recently purchased a 1976 PL510A turntable from him, they are performing flawlessly...like they were made for each other.
Took my Pioneer SX 1050 in for service. It couldn't sound better. So crisp and sharp. CD's, vinyl sound so much better and I play my IPOD thru it as well. The sound is just awesome. If my Sansui 9090DB ever needs service, i'll know where to bring it!!! Love the LED's as well Thanks Mike. Great job.
