History Established in 1980. Austin Gastroenterology evolved from two individual private practices. Austin Gastroenterology Associates (AGA), PA, the first GI practice in Austin, was established in 1980 with two physicians: William Gamel, MD (retired) and George Willeford III, MD. AGA grew to include Craig Lubin, MD; Rashad E. Dabaghi, MD; Richard M. Sperling, MD; and Robert Frachtman, MD. In April 1998, AGA merged with Becker, Rice & Utts, PA to form Austin Gastroenterology Associates, PLLC. In January 2001, the group merge... read more

Had a horrible experience with their Bee Caves location. Repeatedly sent into voicemail queue that said it wasn't set up yet. Went days without response to portal chats that they apparently barely monitor. Then prescribed meds that major insurance companies reject, the Bee Caves office refused to appeal and then failed to provide any other alternative prescription. To add insult to injury, office wants to charge a cancellation fee even though i cancelled days prior when they still hadn't sent appeal forms to insurance. I've ... read more
I've not had any real issues with the clinicians but Austin Gastro. has grown so much over the years, getting through to schedule appointments and refills has become so challenging. It makes interaction quite clinical and lacking care in communicating with the office. Getting schedule/refills is such a challenge and it seems that you're inconveniencing the staff with these basic requests. My medication requests may be denied for not having an appointment on the calendar (which I'm 100% okay with setting up an appt.) but a la... read more
I saw Dr. Jangouk for ongoing GI issues among other concerns I have experienced for years. She completely dismissed my concerns, interrupted me multiple times, flat out refused to order any kind of testing to rule anything out (and by that I mean I asked multiple times for testing and she refused), told me that in her "professional opinion," I just have IBS, and prescribed me an antidepressant. Mind you, I had to ask her 3 times in different ways for her to even admit that she was prescribing me an antidepressant (i.e. "what... read more
Having worked in healthcare for over 20 years, I'm quite knowledgeable and have pretty high standards. Dr. Sushil Duddempudi absolutely delivers! He bedside manner and thoroughness are so appreciated. His entire office staff are so very caring and responsive. I have been incredibly impressed with my experiences with he and the AG staff before, during and following my procedure. Fantastic doctor! Thank you for your outstanding care!
Feels like they are more concerned with volume of procedures done in a day than practicing good medicine. Extremely disappointed. Got maybe 1 min with the doctor who contradicted what she had said at original appointment. They are hurried and not thorough.
