About this business

History Established in 1980. Austin Gastroenterology evolved from two individual private practices. Austin Gastroenterology Associates (AGA), PA, the first GI practice in Austin, was established in 1980 with two physicians: William Gamel, MD (retired) and George Willeford III, MD. AGA grew to include Craig Lubin, MD; Rashad E. Dabaghi, MD; Richard M. Sperling, MD; and Robert Frachtman, MD. Jennifer, the office coordinator, however, did NOT honor that. She was rude, disrespectful, and ignorant of how diseases ... read more

Then prescribed meds that major insurance companies reject, the Bee Caves office refused to appeal and then failed to provide any other alternative prescription. To add insult to injury, office wants to charge a cancellation fee even though i cancelled days prior when they still hadn't sent appeal forms to insurance. I've ... read more

I've not had any real issues with the clinicians but Austin Gastro. has grown so much over the years, getting through to schedule appointments and refills has become so challenging. It makes interaction quite clinical and lacking care in communicating with the office. Getting schedule/refills is such a challenge and it seems that you're inconveniencing the staff with these basic requests. My medication requests may be denied for not having an appointment on the calendar (which I'm 100% okay with setting up an appt.) but a la... read more
