Best utility in the state of Texas!!!! I’m honestly impressed. Given the icy conditions, I was bracing for the worst, but Austin Energy kept the power flowing beautifully. Huge shout-out to the staff working in freezing temps to keep our community running. Your hard work hasn’t gone unnoticed!
I live in the building next to this facility… There is an employee that comes in at 5 o’clock every morning, loudly and repeatedly honking their horn. There is no question that management knows, because it is impossible to miss. If you want to know how valued you are by Austin energy, this is your example… This person has been doing this for well over a year with no disciplinary action, And it has actually gotten worse. Atrocious rates, terrible customer service. Not sure how I was paying about $600/mo in 1400 Sq ft of living space. Called in and they said “there’s nothing we can do, this is normal based on your usage”. You would think they have more attractive rates since they’re the monopoly in Austin, you can’t get another service provider.
