I would like to begin with the positive. Mr. Austin personally came in on a Sunday to offer his condolences following the loss of my aunt. I genuinely appreciated that gesture. It made me feel welcomed and cared for during an incredibly difficult time. Tessie and Austin & Barnes have taken care of my family for years, recently taking care of mother after she passed away. Tessie took such good care of my "Meamzer" and handled everything for me during my grief. When I say everything was taken care of, I mean she made sure there was a memory/signature book for attendees, cards and envelopes to thank those that attended, found a pastor for the family, worked with me to ensure the memorial would occur when I needed and even provided security for those that were not intended t... read more

Austin Barnes has taken care of our family's needs for many years, and we could not have been more pleased with their service. The staff was always professional, helpful, willing to answer all our questions and give up options that fit both our family's preferences and were within our budget.

There is no way to explain the absolute respect, care, mercy, and love Austin & Barnes will treat you, your family, and your lost love one with. They are absolutely incredible. I have sadly had experience with multiple funeral homes over the years and none come close to the level of care Austin & Barnes provides.

My 61 year old brother in law suffered a fatal heart attack while on a fishing trip with his 22 year old son in Boone, NC. (They are from FL.) From the initial phone call through final arrangements, Austin & Barnes and specifically Jordan was polite, caring, patient, and compassionate. He was available 24/7 while we dealt with the bureaucracy of hospital policies and procedures to get the death certificate signed and initiate the cremation so my nephew could return home to Florida with this father.
