I am sure everyone has their own experience and it is specific to their case and as is everything their are two sides to the story. I consider myself to be very mechanically inclined as an individual who was once able to rebuild engines pre-80's before all the electronics. I am not clueless to auto engines and issues associated. Furthermore, I clearly did my interviewing on the phone with the mechanic before I set an appointment. My Auto Mechanic was Ben. Contrary to other negative reviews as may/are posted here, I found him... read more
These mechanics are good, honest, and timely. I would recommend these guys to anyone needing help with their vehicle repairs, especially if your stranded somewhere.
Horrible Experience – This is perhaps the worst single encounter I've ever had in my entire life with an individual supposedly in business. A couple weeks back, my wife's Neon quit running at Duval and 183. Someone actually handed her these guy's card, and I had the car towed home and called them. I was going on vacation the next day, so I made arrangements for them to come over when I got back and fix the car. The fix was fairly straightforward; the car needed a new fuel pump. Honest, Affordable and Reliable – I just looked up 'auto mechanic' and found these guys. Seemed fair and simple on the phone, so I had them come out. I thought they were going to be more expensive than a shop (seeing as I was skipping the tow) but they were surprisingly less! A loose cable was the culprit, and the guy was fair and honest. He tightened it up, and voila! Something tells me I might have ended up buying a new starter if t... read more
Just go to a garage – I originally called them because I thought I just needed a belt replaced. $300 and a new head gasket later, I still didn't have a running car. This took an entire day. They scheduled another mechanic to come out a couple of days later. He never showed during the original (or 'rescheduled') appointment time, and then I couldn't get a hold of anyone on the phone to give me any answers. I would recommend that you just have your car towed to an actual garage. You'll save yourself time and money.
Austin AutoMedic is the Best!!! – my technician called me before coming out to let me know he was on his way, so no guessing about when they would be here, and they came to my office during work, so i didnt have to interrupt my work day. it was great and quick!! so easy to work with and they told me the price over the phone, so no guessing!
