We had the tasting menu, and it was overall mostly okay! The best item on the tasting menu was the tempura mushroom. Shrimp toast was salty, and the mousse cake was dry. I’d recommend skipping the tasting menu— I’m sure they have other tasty items on the menu that are much more worth the price point. The burger was subpar, the fries portion was stingy, and the gluten-free bun was one of the worst I’ve had. To top it off, I was overcharged relative to my receipt. The only thing this place has going for it is its location — without that, it likely wouldn’t survive.
I’m writing a review while sitting in the restaurant because it was THAT GOOD. We came for the local happy hour and sampled the lamb dumplings, Brussels, and Korean fried chicken. Seriously, so unbelievably good and nice snacking portions for 2 people. The food felt high end and the drinks were very well made. Great bourbon list as well! Would absolutely come back again!
I cannot say enough great things about Aurum! We walked in with 14 people- adults and kids. They didn’t even blink an eye! They got two patio tables ready for us, and we enjoyed such a wonderful night out! The service was phenomenal! The food was delicious! The drinks were fantastic! Check this place out on a date night by the river or with the kids on the green. You won’t regret it!
First time visit to Aurum and it will not be our last. Food was fantastic, the Elk Loin was the best we have ever had. Our server Lucy, was excellent! I believe she is normally the bartender but she was great, really made our experience! Thank you!
