To preface this, everything I've seen of the actual medical staff and care provided in the emergency department is top notch. They can't do everything at a smaller rural hospital but what they can do, they do well. The doctors seem very set on making sure nurses are shown things in cases they may not encounter often, and all of the passing paramedics have been wonderful. However. My experience with my mother in law was beyond amazing. Very unique situation that caused many questions and concerns. Throughout my 6 day experience, the ER staff, doctors, administration, nurses, CNA's and student nurses put my mother in law's health first in every single moment. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
My uncle is in the hospital, was admitted yesturday, I went to visit him , I approached the door as the CNA Sydney went into his room to give him a bed bath, I stood and listen outside the door as no one new who i was or who I was there to see. All she had him do was wash his own face. Took her about 5 minutes in his room, and not once did he deny any care. After she left the room I went in to find his paralyzed hand rolled and under him. Id give them a 0 stars if that was am option. My poor son stepped on a nail and went about an inch in his foot. No one asked him his pain level. They didn't even clean out the wound!!! When I tore my acl they took an x-ray even after I said its not a break (I have tore a muscle in my other knee) I asked for an ice pack took them about an hour while I was crying in pain. The best part is they gave me a brace for a broken bone (which caused more pain).
