service based all the way This is one of those small businesses you love to support. Super friendly staff who know their business. A nice inventory of new and used lawnmowers. And even if you just stop in to have a grass cutting blade sharpened they treat you like they really appreciate your business. If you need lawnmower repair, I couldn't think of anywhere else I'd recommend more.
poor business practices & dishonest They did much more work on my small engine than I asked for. The total bill was more than what I agreed upon and more than what I could buy a new engine for.
Aurora Lawnmower is great local business Seems like lawnmower blade sharpening is the last thing you want to do as summer approaches â but having a helpful local business to do this job is a great advantage. These people were always friendly and willing to do what they could to get us back up and mowing soon. Highly recommendable.
I don't know about other customers' experiences with Aurora Lawnmower, but I can tell you MY experience servicing my Husqvarna chainsaw was THE BEST! Literally, I brought my saw in, Audra diagnosed the problem with the chain, replaced the chain, adjusted it and explained how it happened like a pro. I was out the door in less than 15 minutes and with a fully functioning saw. Couldn't have been happier with her customer service skills and will definitely be back!

Yes, Aurora Lawn Mower went through a recent ownership transition, but it is the "Good Guys" who are surviving. Gordy is, and always has been, our "go to guy", solving unusual problems and responding to every concern. We have two mowers (one at home & one at the rental property). We run them hard and often. We have purchased two used mowers at their shop since spring of 2000, and only one new one.
