I went in because I suddenly had visual changes. This guy was clueless. He asked if I was on chemo, then moved forward with googling possible causes for fluid under my retina. I told him within 3 minutes that I had lost all confidence in him. He continued to google things for roughly 20 minutes, asked if my ankles were swollen. I wanted to walk out at minute 4. I had cataract surgery last November. Feder lost part of my old lens which caused me to schedule a surgery with a retinal specialist. Feder also off centered the new lens which is giving me severe astigmatism. Aurora itself cares more about protecting their doctors rather than caring for their patients. I will not visit Aurora again. This sounds eerily similar to another recent review.
Dr Feder is an excellent Ophthalmology Specialist - have been going to him for 20 years - previously came to the Marinette office - now only in Two Rivers - I'm in Crivitz & I will always drive to see him. Very Caring Doctor!
I want to warn anyone who has had previous Lasik or RK surgery for vision correction -- do not go to Dr. Joseph Feder at Aurora Vision Center for cataract surgery . He performed cataract surgery on my left eye and now I can't see anything beyond 1 foot. I had 20/50 vision in that eye before his surgery - now it is 20/150 with so much astigmatism that it cannot be corrected with glasses or conventional contacts. Excellent physician. You can tell he cares about his work and patients. Also the staff is great. Eye surgeons can change your life.
