I hope this establishment reads my review and takes action. The food is lacking the flavor I expected from a soul food restaurant. The mac n cheese was dry and flavorless. The asparagus were also flavorless. The turkey wings had flavor (honey jerk) but there was no juice. I always expect juice covering my turkey wings so that my rice is wet. The rice was dry. I’ve been coming here probably since day one and I’ve become quite disappointed. I came here today and some kid couldn’t, didn’t, or wouldn’t understand about the rice with the shrimp, crab, chicken, and salmon. First, he kept his face glued to his phone. We explained the we’ve gotten it like that before but he seemed not to understand but, kept his face in his phone. So, he keeps saying he didn’t see it so I’m like ask someone please. Place showed it was open online until 9 and it was definitely closed.
The food is good most of the place but the customer service SUCKS. They never answer the phone, the staff have an awful way of speaking to guest, the wait times are close to 2 hours and the taste of the food does not feel worth all that hassle sometimes.
