I went here and now I work here. The campus just gets more and more beautiful, the people are still friendly and helpful, and the community involvement continues to make me proud! The commitment to helping students get a great start is something I am more than willing to talk about with my friends who have kids beginning their college search.
Our oldest graduated in May 2017. His 4 years not only provided him with an outstanding education but also with great friendships and an excellent on campus work experience. He had great internships and alumni connections helped him with his job search. As a parent, the excellent coomunication from the college was greatly appreciated.
Augustana was (class of '03) and continues to be an excellent school. My experiences both in and out of the classroom (including participating in international programs in East Asia and in Israel) challenged me to enter into the complexities and nuances of living and working in a multi-cultural globalized world. As a student and as an alum I have found the professors to be accessible and helpful ( both academically and professionally). I highly recommend this school!
I graduated from Augustana in 2013 and the four years I was there will always hold a special place in my heart. I loved the small class sizes, friendly professors, and made countless friendships. Go Vikings!
The schools response to sexual assault and their lack of supporting diversity makes this a great place for racist rapists to be educated.
This school is an extremely toxic place. Administration actively disregards the concerns that marginalized students bring forward. The climate for students of color, survivors of sexual trauma, and those with disabilities is atrocious. I would not recommend that people of color attend this school, as they tokenize instead of supporting students of color. There has been no discernible difference in race relations here throughout my years, despite the claims from administration that they are "working on improving" the issues. ... read more
