Love Dr. Harrell! Could not ask for a better psychiatrist - such an invaluable resource for my recovery and treating my mental health.
I see Dr. Harrell on a monthly basis. She has always been extremely pleasant and I’ve never had any issues with her support staff. Appointments often make me anxious and I can confidently say that in her case, I am no longer anxious about my appointments. Never met with Dr Harrell but her support staff was very rude to me. They said I wouldn't be allowed to listen in on the appointment for my mother. She is in cognitive decline and won't remember anything that is told to her. I informed the person on the phone that I'm her health care proxy and I have a HIPAA release. Didn't matter. Still very rude and said that I wouldn't be aloud to be part of the exam. Feel sorry for Dr. Harrell because her support staff is pushing people away.
This Dr charged my insurance $848 for the first time visit (one hour) without my knowledge. I found out the cost because after Dr Harrell’s office and my primary care office told me she was covered under my plan, Tufts Insurance refused the payments saying my plan did not cover her. So, I now owe this amount and was told, I was “treated” by a Dr for this amount. What kind of “treatment” is this? This is NOT a health treatment.
