ZERO STARS!!! Sent a new, DOA Marantz receiver for repair under warranty. Despite the unfriendly attitude, I had no choice but to use this repair center. The length of time the repair took was far longer than the estimate, and communication was non-existent. Then they would not sent it to the address I provided DESPITE being instructed to by Marantz. Kept the unit for 1.5 years...never responded to me or made any effort to resolve this. I HAD TO SUE in small claims court. Guess what? The HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE owner still wouldn... read more
THESE GUYS ARE AMAZING - VERY HARD TO FIND GOOD REPAIR SHOP – I have lots of old vintage stereo equipment and when one of the devices stopped working I took it to Gary @ Audio Wizard - He was very pleasant and he told me it would be a few weeks. A couple weeks later I was called by Jim (Technician) and he told me the unit was ready. I have sent lots of people to Gary and they have all been very pleased. Its very hard to find anyone to even repair things these days. Most people are board swappers, not able to repair board lev... read more
Don't walk, RUN from this place – Audio Wizard claims on its website to specialize in "Professional Audio, Video, Computer Diagnostics and Repairs". However, I've used them several times and they are nothing but incompetent and rude. I've paid them several hundred dollars to "repair" electronic equipment - My equipment is, shocker, still broken. One man with an eyesight disability appears to do the work in back and another extremely rude man who wears a wireless earphone works the front counter and answers the phone. During ... read more
computer building – Gary knows computers and built a complex computer for video production. If something happened that it needed to be fixed or upgradted he knew just to do. I live fourty miles from where they are, but I trust them to do a professional job every tikme. I highly recommend them for getting your electronic equipment fixed for a fair price. If you want it fixed go to Audio Wizards.
vintage receiver repair – I brought my vintage Pioneer SX1080 receiver there to be fixed. A little old lady was at the counter with a very old phonograph. The man behind the counter fiddled with the needle got an album tested it and said it works OK now. The lady asked how much and he said no charge. Another customer and I helped her carry the phonograph to her car. I told the man my receiver was failing. He told me there would be an upfront diagnostic charge of $59 which would be applied to the final bill and it would take ... read more
Actually, they're quite good. – I've used Audio Wizard since 1984 when he was at the old Bashas plaza at Miller Road. I've never had a problem with them and they've fixed literally ALL of my electronics from car stereo's to TV's to high end amplifiers to antiques. In fact, once I gave him an antique radio from the 1930's that was my fathers. It meant a lot to me but had just stopped working. They literally had to BUILD a part for it from scratch, by hand to get it to work again. They've gone above and beyond the call of duty... read more
Worst Electronic Repair Facility I've Ever Dealt With – I took my portable DVD to Audio Wizard for repairs in July of 2007. My kids use it for road trips. It worked fine except for the eject function. Audio Wizard charges $39 just to look at it. I paid around $100 for it to be repaired. I don't think that the eject function worked more than once before it started doing the same thing again. The kids reminded me in January of 2008 when I took it back in before the next road trip. The owner was rude on the phone and rude when ... read more
